Humaun Kabir
Hi! I am Humaun Kabir, an NLP engineer with a diverse 4+ years of experience in RnD, industry, academia and non-profit organisations. I have completed my Master of Science in Neural Networks and Neural Computers from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology with red diploma.
During my Master's I worked on neural networks, machine learning and deep learning especially focused on natural language processing.
I worked under the supervision of Prof. Alexander Kharlamov at the Centre for Information Technologies and Systems CITaS and defended my thesis at the same. In 2024, as an intern at the Natural Language Learning & Generation Lab, I worked under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Steffen Eger on NLP for science.
I have stepped into the path of research since mid 2022 and since then been working on natural language processing, machine learning, large language models and fine-tuning different pretrained models in the field of multimodal natural language processing through job, internship and projects. I am keenly interested in text generation, text classification, LLMs in the field of multimodal nlp, nlp for social good and nlp for science.
I have hands-on experience in Python, Golang, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker, Airflow, ETL, PyTorch, Neural Nets, NLTK, LLMs and Transformers.
Currently I am working as a junior programmer NLP at ISS-Soft LLC. Previously, I worked as a backend developer, co-led projects aiming to specific SDGs, brought school kids and girls in university to programming in Bangladesh since 2016. I have been awarded several international fellowships in related to youth, technology and development where I got invaluable experiences.

Golang Author
Authored a Golang online course for students aged 13 to 18 at Yandex Lyceum. Along with other team authors, I wrote theory, example codes, and exercises, and prepared tasks on various topics. I also wrote solution codes in Golang for the tasks, including tests that follow best practices.

Software Engineer
Developed high-performance APIs and backend in Golang, integrating MongoDB, Redis, especially contributed to a project that handles real-time and decades of cricket statistics data.

Assistant Engineer and Program Officer
As Assistant Engineer (Jul 19 to Feb 2020) and Program Officer (Mar 2020 to Nov 2021), I co-led the ESDG4Bd project, empowering girls in ICT and and conducted data-driven analysis, academia-industry collaboration to enhance girls' inclusion in tech. Authored technical reports of activities for internal and external stakeholders.
